Mortal Kombat 11 will ramp up the series' most brutal component, the Fatalities.
WWE had a huge presence at the event to celebrate the Raw Women's Champion's involvement in the project, including of course Rousey herself, the New Day's Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, and Andrade's valet, Zelina Vega.
Like NetherRealm Studios' past livestreams, the studio's Twitch channel is the best landing spot for live reveals and announcements. Maybe wrestlers just like to attend Mortal Kombat-related events?
Developer NetherRealm Studios also showed off the story prologue and some delightfully violent fatalities - including a variant on Sub Zero's klassic head-and-spine rip.
And, in case you missed it, here is the January 17, 2019 Mortal Kombat 11 live stream. In addition, the new boss is Kronika, the Keeper of Time, and her minion, Geras, is the first new fighter to join the series. More so since Mortal Kombat 11 runs on the Unreal Engine from Epic. Under Armour's Anatomix Spawn sneaker line, available in non-Mortal Kombat-themed colorways, goes on sale January 26.
It's also been reported that the game will also include a new character named Geras, who will also have a reveal trailer at the event.
Mortal Kombat 11 is expected to release April 23 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Those interested can already pre-order the game at a price that depends on edition and market.
