HBO Releases First Look At 'Game Of Thrones' Season 8

The eighth and final season of HBO's Game of Thrones is quickly approaching its April premiere, and we couldn't be more excited for it. After seven seasons of characters claiming that "winter is coming", the last season ended with the Night King and the White Walkers (dragon included) melting the Wall away, one major step closer to conquering - or perhaps a better word is destroying - Westeros.

This is the first time that the two meet each other, probably (definitely!) to discuss strategies. It wasn't much, but fans saw Sansa Stark, not only greeting Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen in her home city of Winterfell, but she even bends the knee (metaphorically) to the Queen of Dragons.

In the short clip, we see Daenerys Targaryen arriving at Winterfell.

Within the HBO promo was a very brief glimpse of the upcoming Game of Thrones season. While Daenerys gives her an approving look, Jon doesn't look too sure about what will follow.

In the trailer, Sansa is seen saying to Daenerys: "Winterfell is yours, your Grace".

The teaser also features first footage from HBO's "Watchmen" series, creator Damon Lindelof's new take on Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' iconic graphic novel, which follows a group of vigilante crime fighters and superheroes as they move through a turbulent alternate history version of 1985. It also came as a welcome surprise to the show's loyal viewers, who will recall they had to wait until July a year ago when Season 7 premiered.

So TL;DR - even if you, for some reason, won't be watching the final season of Game of Thrones, you will nearly certainly want to renew that HBO subscription this year. Meryl Streep, who plays his mother in the new season, says she wants to find out what happened to her son.
