Rockets GM says Harden could be best offensive player ever

The Warriors led 73-53 early in the third quarter, but ultimately lost 135-134 in overtime at Oracle Arena to a Rockets team once again boosted by a lights-out display from James Harden. He was only 13/32 from the field but was 10/23 on threes, making a 3-pointer to tie the game and send it to OT, and another to win the game in overtime.

In the closing stages of arguably the biggest game of the year, James Harden hit one of the most hard shots you'll ever see, avoiding the clutches of Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, two of the best defenders the league has to offer.

On the following possession, Harden knocked in the game-winning three from deep despite being surrounded by Golden State defenders. Harden has averaged 40.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 9.0 assists during Houston's 11-1 hot streak. But the basket shouldn't have counted because Durant was clearly out of bounds when he flung the ball back in.

"For the most part, I feel like we made him work". He notched his second triple-double of the week and fifth consecutive 40-point game, but the impressive stats themselves don't tell the whole story. Harden is putting up 39.7 points during this 11-game stretch, while dishing out 8.5 assists. "If you have a lead like that, you don't lose at home". "I can say that's a tough play to make".
