The device has been launched in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants with 128GB storage, which can be further expanded by up to 512GB via dedicated microSD card slot.

Coming to imaging, the Galaxy A8s sports a triple rear camera setup - with one 24-megapixel main sensor with f/1.7 aperture, another 10-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture that can offer 2X optical zoom, and another 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture and this one is basically for more depth in photos. The Galaxy A8s is special to Samsung because this is the first phone from the company to the use its own Infinity-O display which was unveiled alongside three other displays at Developers Conference in November.

Galaxy A8s sports a 6.4-inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 1080*2340p and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 will also sport the Infinity-O display, along with the Galaxy S10 Plus, both of which are expected to be launched in March of next year.

In the image below, posted first on Facebook and then on Slashleaks, we see a phone labeled "Beyond 2", featuring a dual selfie camera in the right corner of the display. Samsung Galaxy A8s is powered by a 3,300mAh battery.

The cutout display with "under display camera" can be expected to become a mainstream design element soon.

Samsung Galaxy A8s has a hole in the display where the 24MP front camera is placed. Though Galaxy A8s is a mid-range phone, the company wants to show the new device to the entire world and has made arrangements to live stream the event on its official page (link below).

The camera at the back has a 24MP+10MP+5MP combination.

Samsung kickstarted the death of the cutout with - no surprise - another type of display cutout on its newly announced Galaxy A8s. The phone has a glossy finish as seen on other Samsung phones in the Galaxy A and the Galaxy S series. As of now, there's no information whether or not the phone will come to India.
