The NFL had no comment Friday night beyond saying Hunt was on the commissioner's exempt list, meaning he can't play or attend games while the league investigates.
What could he have said at this point in time to make you feel better about the whole thing? Rice told NFL.com that he would've urged Hunt to consider whether it was "worth risking it all for a split-second decision - for something you know you can get out of", but acknowledged that Hunt might not have been "in his right mind" when he lashed out.
Police were called to the scene during the February 10 incident, but no charges were filed. The Ravens cut Rice in 2014 after TMZ released footage of him assaulting this then-fiancee and now wife in an elevator of an Atlantic City, N.J., casino. "We all care about you.' It was a tough conversation", Hunt said. It will include a review of the new information that was made public on Friday - which was not available to the National Football League previously - as well as further conversations with all parties involved in the incident. Hunt also appears to rush the woman, but he ended up hitting a man who was standing between Hunt and the woman. Hunt's charge caused both the man and the woman to fall to the ground.
"I realized what I did once I saw the video", he said in the interview with ESPN. It shows Hunt lunging toward a woman and several others in the hotel hallway, and the second-year pro being restrained several times. The NFL did reach out to the woman and her friend, but they did not respond.
Hunt was immediately released from the Chiefs organization when the video was released online by TMZ on November 30, bringing a premature end to a season in which the former Toledo Rocket had plundered an impressive seven touchdowns in 11 games.
"I just thought of myself as being just not me", Hunt said of his reaction to seeing the video.
"I just want to let the world know how sorry I am for my actions", Hunt said.
Hunt added insult to injury to the league when he confirmed that the NFL never once interviewed him about the incident, even after telling the team to back off of their own investigation.
The video footage that sparked the chain of the events captured Hunt arguing with the woman at 3.22 AM on February 10, 2018 outside Hunt's hotel apartment at Cleveland's Metropolitan at the 9. I'll do whatever I can to help win.
One component of the ordeal that has been puzzling is why the video had taken so long to surface.
From there, however, Hunt is only one of several figures whose behavior is suspect, to say the least, as more information emerges about the physical altercation involving the star running back. If no team claims him, he will enter free agency.
"I was in the wrong, I could have took responsibility and, you know, made the right decision to find a way to deescalate the situation".
"I'm asking for forgiveness".
