With Kohli smashing Tendulkar's record of fastest to 10,000 ODI runs in terms of innings, it is a good time to compare Kohli's current stats with Tendulkar's, at the time the latter reached the landmark. Former South Africa skipper AB de Villiers took 91 innings to reach 4000 ODI runs.

Kohli's 157 was his sixth century against West Indies making him the player with most hundreds in ODIs against West Indies surpassing the mar of five 100s by Herschelle Gibbs, Amla and Ab de Villiers.

"I am at a loss of words to describe Virat Kohli's performance". In 2016, e smashed 739 runs from 10 games and in 2017 smashed 1460 runs from 26 matches. Kohli became only the 4th Indian and 13th batsman overall to achieve this feat.

Having an enviable record at the Dr YSR ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium with scores of 118, 117, 99 and 65, Kohli began his latest innings with a boundary through the off-side.

Not only this, Virat also broke a record of Sachin with this ton. India lost their two openers rather quickly, but in walked Kohli and nearly as if everything was bound to fall into place, he took charge of proceedings. Taking that into account, it is clear that Tendulkar exceeds the average strike rate of his era by a much higher margin than Kohli, though Kohli remains better in terms of the ratio of averages.

The 29-year-old, who is ranked No.1 on the ICC batting charts, is inarguably the best batsman in the 50-over format now in the world. Freakish numbers indeed! With five centuries and three fifties, Kohli's appetite for centuries is very big. The match will commence at 1:30 pm (IST), where Windies will be eying to level the series. The two other Indians in the list are Rahul Dravid (309 matches and 287 innings) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (320 matches and 273 innings).
