Juventus held at home

Juventus are sweating over the fitness and availability of Emre Can ahead of Tuesday's clash with Manchester United after the summer signing was diagnosed with a thyroid problem that could require surgery.

United have collected four points from their two Group H fixtures this season.

"We have to go into the game looking to start on more of the front foot, especially at home".

United fought back from going behind to put themselves in a winning position in each of those matches and Pereira thinks they are showing signs of the fighting spirit of the great sides of old.

"I think we deserved to win it, especially when we got back into the game and we really did get on top, but this is what we have to do against Juventus".

It was hard at the start of the game [against Chelsea] but like the manager has said to us, we need to keep our confidence and keep doing well. I gave everything for Juventus, I won several titles, after which Cristiano arrived.

"Cristiano is very relaxed, working well and about his personal problems, they are nothing to do with me". We take a good feeling into the next game.

The home side did push for more goals in the final 10 minutes of the first half, but Genoa defended well enough to keep the score at 1-0 at the break. "We're very pumped up for Tuesday".

Ronaldo first faced a Mourinho team as a teenager while playing for Sporting CP, featuring twice in Primeira Liga games against Porto, with both ending in defeat.

But they were unable to overcome Valencia at Old Trafford, slumping to a goalless draw.
