The jackpot has been growing since July, when some California office workers won $543 million. The winning numbers on Tuesday were 69, 45, 61, 3, 49, and the Mega Ball was 9. Blake won half of the game's $42 million jackpot in October 2017.

A Midlands lottery player is carrying around a $50,000 ticket after purchasing a Mega Millions ticket, according to a statement from the S.C. Education Lottery. The cash option, which is favored by almost all winners, is $380 million. In January 2016, the Powerball jackpot hit almost $1.6 billion, making it the biggest Powerball jackpot in history, as well as the highest lottery grand prize in the US ever.

Officials say no tickets matched all six numbers to claim the Mega Millions prize Tuesday night. And one of those, sold in San Antonio, had the Megaplier option, available in most states for an extra $1. That ticket is worth $5 million.

Still, even the combined total wouldn't break the record USA lottery prize. That honor goes to a 2016 Powerball jackpot, which clocked in at $1.586 billion (although it was shared by three winners).

The Powerball is set to be drawn Wednesday night.

A handful of million-dollar tickets were sold, including one in NY, one in New Jersey and two in Pennsylvania.

But unfortunately, there was no winning ticket for the $656 million jackpot.
