"He might not have thought he'd have a insane motherf***r like me (supporting him)".

After one of West's 10-minute sermon-style speeches, the president took over, complimenting the rapper for being a "smart cookie".

He showed the president a video on his phone of a plane powered by hydrogen, and suggested that Mr. Trump should fly in it.

With West seated across from him at the famous Resolute Desk, Trump began the Oval Office meeting - which also included Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Brown and Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner - by saying that the administration has been "keeping our promises".

"I was very emotional and I was programmed to think from a victimized mentality".

The White House had said that Trump and West would discuss a range of issues, including manufacturing, prison reform, preventing gang violence and reducing violence in Chicago, which is where West grew up.

West's wife, Kim Kardhashian, has worked with Trump and the White House on prison reform and pardon issues.

"I tell you what, that was pretty impressive", the president said.

"It was something about when I put this hat on, it made me feel like Superman", West said. "If you see a black family, it says, 'They're looting.' You see a white family, it says, 'They're looking for food.' And you know that it's been five days because most of the people are black". In a freaky performance last month on "Saturday Night Live" he delivered an unscripted pro-Trump message after the credits rolled.

"People expect that if you're black you have to be Democrat", he said.

Fans have long speculated that West would run for president in 2020, but he appeared to throw cold water on that notion for now. So, we don't have reparations, but we have the 13th Amendment. I'ma break it down to you right now: If someone inspires me and I connect with them, I don't have to believe in all [their] policies.

After telling Trump this morning that Apple should make the president an iPlane, West apparently went to a nearby Apple store and asked if he could hold a keynote on top of iPhone and iPad display tables.

"There's a whole lot of people in this country that do give you a lot of credit for everything you've been doing for this country", he said.

West has made headlines today about his behavior during the sit-down. which included a couple classic Kanye rants, a heap of Trump praising and even a hug between the two men.
