It is safe to assume that everyone expected Samsung to launch a tripe camera smartphone but no one anticipated that they will do so with their "A" line of smartphones. Having a variety of differing lenses on your device can make it more suitable to an assortment of shooting conditions. The 24-megapixel main camera is in the middle; beneath it is an 8-megapixel camera with a 120-degree optic lens suited for taking landscape shots. Samsung released a triple rear camera phone and it is called the Galaxy A7. The setup consists of 24 MP primary lens, an 8 MP ultra wide lens and a 5 MP depth sensor.

Samsung is always quick to embrace new trends in the smartphone industry.

There's also an intelligent Scene Optimizer that identifies what your subject is and adjusts color, contrast, and brightness to optimize image quality for you. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side of the phone, another first for Samsung.

Now it is no secret that the highlight of the phone is its triple camera offering but we think that even apart from that the phone seems very promising considering other specs. On the front, the Galaxy A7 (2018) sports 6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with Full HD+ (2220 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It is at the sides, embedded in the power button. While the company refers to the phone as Galaxy A7, we expect the retail package to have Galaxy A7 (2018) branding. There's either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage which can be expanded with a MicroSD card, and a 3300mAh battery which is compatible with quick charging.

We do already know, however, that the Galaxy A7 will launch in South Africa in November (no definitive date) with a recommended price tag of R8 499.

The new Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) will launch in "select European and Asian markets" in coming months, with Australian pricing and availability yet to be confirmed. If not, users can still enjoy using the 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display and it offers four AKG speakers with Dolby Atmos sound technology. We'll have to wait a few more weeks and see.

The Galaxy A7's connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, ANT+, NFC (option feature depending on the region) with Samsung Pay support, GPS, GLONASS and 3.5mm headphone jack.
