Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was hurt in the first half of Sunday's game.

Rodgers was later carted off the field, but would return to the field for the Packers after halftime.

The Packers came out of the locker room with Rodgers back under center, went to their no-huddle offense and quickly began to wear the Bears' pass rush out.

The Chicago Bears almost had a superb upset to start the 2018 National Football League season against the rival Green Bay Packers, which was fueled by recently-acquired star Khalil Mack.

A defense reinforced with pass-rushing linebacker Khalil Mack has forced the Green Bay Packers to punt on their first two drives.

The Chicago Bears preseason turned into the Khalil Mack show when they traded for him from the Oakland Raiders. At the time, with Chicago owning the scoreboard and the momentum, it was the kind of game-changing play worth his $90 million contract. After Mack's disruptive performance in the first half, the Bears have to be happy with their decision to spend so much on him.

Rodgers, 34, finished the game 20 of 30 for 286 yards (273 in the second half) and three touchdown passes, all in the fourth quarter. The Packers were trailing 20-0.

And especially because how terrible the Packers played in the first half. On the following drive, Rodgers delivered a strike to receiver Geronimo Allison, who beat Kyle Fuller to make a 39-yard touchdown catch to cut the lead to ten.

It was Green Bay's largest fourth-quarter comeback win in franchise history.

"No, I'm planning on playing", Rodgers said. Was it the lack of the entire team's preparation in the exhibition slate that allowed the Packers to dominate the second half, storming back from a 20-0 deficit to lead, 24-23, with three minutes to play?

Despite bringing in Mack, the Packers are a 7.5 point favorite to win tonight's game.

Nagy deserves some criticism for failing to adjust down the stretch, but Vic Fangio's defense did the same and fell apart when they were needed most. He went 23-for-35 for 171 yards. He broke Prince Amukamara's ankles and scored from 12 yards out after making a short catch, faking inside and breaking it back outside, but only after he completed a spinning catch for 51 yards three plays earlier.
