"The forges here at Blizzard are burning hot and we have multiple 'Diablo' projects in the works", said Blizzard associate community manager Brandy Camel in a short YouTube video. "Some will take longer than others", Camel explains, and news will apparently be shared later this year; a clear setup for a BlizzCon reveal in November. "We may have some things to show you later this year", Camel says.

We've been reporting on Diablo 4 possibilities for years, with job postings giving us a hint about what to expect from the next Diablo game.

With games like Path of Exile eating their lunch in the dungeon crawler genre Blizzard needs to bring it. Let us know. It's great to see that Blizzard is ramping up development in the franchise, so we'll see many new experiences in the near future. Descriptions such as that can apply to just about any Diablo project that Blizzard could conceivably be working on at the moment. Diablo is, and always will be, part of Blizzard's identity, and we can't wait for the future.

Whatever the case may be, players still don't know if this means Diablo IV is on the way. What types of games do you believe are in the works?

For starters, Diablo 3 is getting "themed seasons" starting with season 14.

Interestingly, that was not the end of it as sources close to Eurogamer revealed that Diablo 3 is very much in the works for Nintendo Switch despite Blizzard's claims that it is not.

KitGuru Says: Blizzard seems to be buckling down on something new for Diablo fans.

What could Blizzard be working on?
