Eleven members of a family were found dead at their home in north Delhi's Burari this morning.
"10 of the 11 family members were found hanging when we reached the house".
The police officials said, bodies have been sent for post mortem to ascertain the cause of death and to rule out the possibility of foul play. A neighbour in the Burari district found the victims early on Sunday, police said.
As per reports, deceased included a 75-year-old woman and 3 minors.
The family was living in the house for more than two decades, the Hindustan Times newspaper reported.
Indian TV channels broadcast interviews with neighbors who said the family did not have any discord among themselves.
Police are questioning neighbours and scanning CCTV footage in the area for leads.
The family owned a grocery shop near the local gurdwara and also run some furniture business. "We are investigating from all possible angles, we are not ruling out anything".
The four men, three women and four girls were found hanging from an iron grill used as a ventilator in the courtyard.
