LeBron James goes off for 46 points in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals to help the Cleveland Cavaliers avoid elimination with their, 109-99, win over the Boston Celtics on Friday night.

James played all 82 regular-season games for the first time in his career and is already at 100 for the year with at least four more to come. Best player in the game.

Point guard George Hill turned in his most aggressive and effective game of the series, scoring 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting with a ideal 6-for-6 mark from the free-throw line to go with three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 34 minutes. We had to play 'Bron as many minutes as he had to.

The same franchise that once took names anytime, anywhere this time of year now curls up like a dog in a thunderstorm every time it leaves home.

But the Cavs got scare in the fourth when James went down hard on a drive tangling with Nance and clutching his right leg in obvious pain. James scored 45 points to lead Cleveland past the Pacers. We needed that, especially when Kevin went down.

While the Celtics will be happy they get to return home for Game 7, the can't simply rely on past results.

And he wouldn't be denied an eighth straight journey to the NBA Finals.

His numbers in elimination games are staggering and he not only lived up to them, he obliterated them. James did not run back down the court, resting up while Green drew a foul at the other end and made one free throw to give the Cavaliers their biggest lead of the game.

"They have been very successful against us at home, but we love challenges and this is a great opportunity".

The Cleveland defense, which had been non-existent throughout the series, forced eight Boston turnovers in the first half and 13 overall for the game, leading to 11 points for Cleveland.

Aron Baynes and his Boston Celtics have failed to eliminate the Cleveland Cavaliers from the National Basketball Association playoffs after LeBron James delivered another Herculean performance. James was able to walk it off - then proceeded to score 12 more points the rest of the way, including back-to-back triples with two minutes to play that essentially sealed the deal. Green scored 14 points off the bench and made several crucial defensive plays while filling in at center.

Boston continued to apply the pressure, however, with Terry Rozier cutting the lead to 10 with his fifth three-pointer of the night in the dying seconds of the third. "We just didn't do it enough to get over that hump", C's guard Jaylen Brown said after the loss.

Cleveland controlled the game for the balance of the final three quarters with LeBron's steady hand at the controls, despite losing All-Star power forward Kevin Love midway through the first after a head-to-head collision with Tatum.
