Georgia linebacker Roquan Smith's vehicle was robbed over the weekend, resulting in the theft of several personal items.
His vehicle had been parked in his apartment complex's parking garage at the time. Police found some of the stolen property at the suspect's home.
On Saturday, Smith reported to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department that several game-worn uniforms, a helmet and other items were stolen from his auto.
Police are obtaining a warrant for the suspect they believe robbed several items belonging to former UGA and current National Football League star Roquan Smith. Smith took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to talk to his followers about the situation, and he said that most of the items have been recovered and the robber identified.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Smith's iPad was not among the recovered items. I would also like to thank many of you that spread information on various social media outlets.
The eighth-overall pick had hundreds of thousands of dollars of memorabilia and electronics stolen out of his auto on Saturday, and police recovered numerous items and identified the suspect.
Among the items that were stolen was Smith's team-issued iPad, so there was some concern about information being swiped from the Bears. "I would just like to thank you guys so much". The teen reportedly attends the University of Georgia.
