Gowda said it was the same Prime Minister who twisted his remark that he (Deve Gowda) would quit Parliament if BJP won majority on its own in the Lok Sabha elections to say that he would move out of the country. The prime minister said he was "also excited to know that there was a dedicated women team that worked behind ISRO's Mars Mission 'Mangalyan'".

Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi on April 6 also interacted with lakhs of twitter followers on the occasion of BJP's establishment day.

Capable women have been given important portfolios in his cabinet, Modi said adding group photos of foreign ministers and defence ministers at the SCO summit in China showed that Sushma Swaraj and Nirmala Sitharaman representing India were the only women.

On Tuesday, Modi had used the Namo App to communicate with the BJP's Kisan Morcha in Karnataka and asked party workers to publicise the Centre's farmer-friendly schemes.

The youth with entrepreneurial tendency made Bengaluru a startup, but Congress turned it into "pothole club", PM Modi said.

The party urged the EC to enquire into and take strict and prompt action against the state BJP leadership. "We have seen the state being ruined for five years and will put a stop to it", he declared, addressing a public meeting at the NV Grounds here. The Janata Dal (Secular) is probably headed for a third-place finish in Karnataka, but is banking on making its seats count in a hung Assembly, which many opinion polls suggest is likely.
