Drake can be heard saying "I never said that" to a few people who surrounded the area in the video clip below.
As the Cavs and Raptors were heading into their respective locker rooms at halftime, Perkins got into a bit of a heated conversation with rapper and well known Raptors fan Drake. LeBron James came through with 26 points, 11 rebounds, 13 assists, two blocks, one steal, and just one turnover on the night, but shot just 12-30 from the field.
"[I was] telling him, 'We about to win this game, ' and Drake butted in talking s-- to me", Perkins told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
But now that the Cavs are facing the "Nice For What" singer's hometown team, the Toronto Raptors, don't expect that to be the case throughout the Eastern Conference Semifinals. "I'm here in real life", he said.
Perkins wouldn't elaborate on what Drake's words were but was more than happy to share his rebuttal.
Although according to Drake, it all had to do with the hem on his capris.
Whatever the two were fighting about didn't get settled in-game and carried over after the Cavs' emotional overtime win.
Um, Drake? What the hell are you doing?
Drake's a Raptors superfan - but he's also friends with a ton of National Basketball Association stars. In 2014, during a first-round series against the Brooklyn Nets, Drake was caught using a lint roller on his trousers in the front row. The rapper has made a practice of annoying opponents from his front-row seat at Air Canada Centre, and Perkins isn't one to take trash talk lying down.
