Trump officials draft hardline immigration bills

Over the two years, more than 30 miles of fencing and 13 miles of road were built, and more than 86 miles of vehicle barriers were installed.

As reported by Yamily Habib in Al Día News, "President Trump has warned that "many people are coming because they want to take advantage of DACA", as the BBC reported, which has been widely contested by politicians, analysts and journalists, because the Deferred Action program created by Barack Obama proposed protecting immigrants 'who have lived in the United States since 2007, who arrived before they turned 16 and who were less than 31 on June 15, 2012, ' the Washington Post explained". The Supreme Court denied the Justice Department's request to take up the case immediately, sending the case out of California back to the US Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit - and keeping the injunction in place that's keeping DACA renewals proceeding. "They want in on the act!" McConnell says Republicans will welcome the 60-vote margin if they return to the minority.

DACA was created by former President Barack Obama to allow children who come to the US illegally achieve a form of legal status. The Obama administration allowed signups during a set period of time, and the program is closed to new entrants.

When he announced he was ending DACA, Trump urged Congress to come up with a legislative fix.

Our immigration system is far from ideal, and has been regarded by many as broken since before Trump took office. It is nonsensical for Trump to be vowing that there will be "no more deal" when there is not now and never has been any realistic chance of a DACA deal.

Trump met Tuesday with top administration officials, including Mattis, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Attorney General Jeff Sessions, to discuss the administration's strategy to address what White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders described as "the growing influx of illegal immigration, drugs and violent gang members from Central America".

President Donald Trump is praising the state of the nation's economy at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. But instead of trying to reach a compromise with Democrats on a long-term solution, Trump tweeted that Republicans must "pass tough laws NOW".

The proposals appear the same as those included on a White House wish list on immigration that was released in October. President tirade began Sunday morning, not long after the program "Fox and Friends" aired this segment about a caravan of Honduran immigrants on their way through Mexico towards the United States border where they plan to seek asylum.

About 1,100 migrants, many from Honduras, have been marching along roadsides and train tracks in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca.

US President, Trump tweeted, "Caravans coming".

The MSM and social media presentation of the latest caravan as a group of desperate, bedraggled migrants just looking for a safe port in the USA, is disingenuous at best. They began as short processions of migrants, some dressed in biblical garb and carrying crosses, as an Easter-season protest against attacks against Central Americans as they cross Mexico. The President is also threatening to end NAFTA if Mexico doesn't do more to stop illegal immigration.

The caravan now headed to the U.S.is not made up of migrants looking for a better way of life for their families. The president is known to watch the cable TV program in the morning. Mexican immigration officers have been signing them up for temporary transit visas, which would allow them to travel to the US border, possibly to seek asylum, or to seek asylum status in Mexico.

Trump is angry that a recently-passed spending bill provides little to no money for his border wall.
