Developer Insomniac Games has just made known the release date for their upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive, Spider-Man.

Word comes by way of Twitter, where Insomniac tweeted a short video showing off some of Peter's moves, as well as some new outfits he'll be able to wear this Fall.

On a related note, you can pre-order the officially licensed Spider-Man White Spider hoodie based on his look in the game right here, right now for $59.99 with free shipping. These bonuses include a Spidey-Suit Pack featuring Spider-Punk, as well as a couple suits they will reveal this summer, the Spider-Drone gadget, a PSN avatar, an original PS4 theme designed by renowned comic book artist Adi Granov, and some extra skill points to unlock faster web-swinging sooner. The Digital Deluxe version - which will include new story chapters for Marvel's Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps, a companion DLC series that will launch after the game drops - will retail for $79.99.

The showstopper is, of course, the Collector's Edition. This is certainly good news, considering how many people were expecting the game to not release until the end of the year at the earliest.

Finally, the Spider-Man PS4 Collector's Edition runs $149.99 and will feature all content from the Digital Deluxe Edition.

Spider-Man will be available in standard editions as well as a Digital Deluxe Edition and Collector's Edition. You will be getting three new chapters each with new missions, new villains and characters, and additional suits for Spider-Man.

By standalone we mean it won't be connected to any of the Spider-Man movies. You'll also get a little collectible pin too.

Since "Spider-Man" was first announced at E3, gamers have been speculating as to whether or not the game will eventually see a release on other platforms.

They go on to say that, "One of the biggest reasons that we at Insomniac connect with Spider-Man and with Peter Parker is that they're both underdogs".
