Baaghi 2 released in over 3,500 screens across India, and saw an impressive footfall in both morning and evening shows. The film collected Rs 15 crore (approximately) at the Indian box office Friday. Interestingly Baaghi 2's first day collection is even more than Padmaavat.
It is clear that audiences have a mind of their own and after watching the action packed promo they had made up their mind to give this Tiger Shroff film a dekko in theaters. This film is a sequel to 2016 released film Baaghi but this time the fans will get to the much higher action than ever. Baaghi 2 which showcases Tiger Shroff in a never-seen-before action packed avatar, also marks the actor's first biggest opener.
"Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the numbers of the film, tweeting, "#Baaghi2 sets the BO on fire.Takes a FANTABULOUS, EARTH SHATTERING START... "#SonuKeTituKiSweety ₹ 6.42 cr India biz". The film has also opened to an excellent response overseas.
His last two films, "A Flying Jatt" and "Munna Micheal", may have failed at the box office but that did not affect Tiger's popularity in any way.
Co-Produced by Fox Star Studios and Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Baaghi 2 is directed by Ahmed Khan and is slated to release on 30th March. In fact, the film is now reported to be the highest opening by a young star, a record previously held by Ranbir Kapoor for the film "Besharam", which had earned Rs 19.87 crore. Baaghi 2 will be competing with Rani Mukerji's Hichki and Ajay Devgn's Raid at the box office.
