Then sewage water began to leak out onto the warning track near the Dodgers' dugout and into nearby box seats along the foul line.

The game was called in the fifth inning as the Dodgers were credited with a 4-3 victory. The clubhouse did not appear affected, but several Dodgers said the liquid spilled into the coaches' room and the video room.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have pledged to donate $2 million to Puerto Rico's recovery, more than six months after Hurricane Maria devastated the island.

If the Dodgers win the World Series this year, I can absolutely, with 100% certainly, tell you what will lead off the season highlight reel. "That's messed up. It's nasty".

"Apparently, there was a pipe backup on two different levels of the stadium", Dodgers president and CEO Stan Kasten said after the game.

Other than "pipe backup", an exact cause for the issue has not been identified, but the team does not anticipate it jeopardizing the Thursday night opener against the San Francisco Giants.
